Two Hotels, Two Requests: How to Plan the Second Ride

Two hotels need two requests. The ride from Queen Alia to the first hotel, about 30 to 50 minutes if it is in Amman, is the first request. The move to the second hotel is another request, with the first hotel as the pickup and the second as the destination, written for its own date and time.

Why two hotels are not one request

The form holds one pickup and one destination. A second hotel in the notes is a plan, not a confirmed drop-off, and the reply only confirms the destination field. Traveling together does not merge two hotels into one address.

Writing the second request

Write the first hotel as the pickup, with its name and area, and the second hotel as the destination, with its name and area. Add the date, the time you want to leave, how many people and bags, and a phone number. The first hotel can be an Amman hotel named as in an Amman hotel as your airport drop-off.

Timing the move

A move on a different day is simplest: you check out in the morning and the second ride starts then. A move on the same evening needs a check-in window at the second hotel, and a longer route needs the drive time from the route pages: about an hour to the Dead Sea, 2.5 to 3.5 hours to Petra from the airport, and more between the stops.

Passengers and children

Count everyone who travels in each ride, children included, because children count as passengers. If the group changes between the two hotels, write the new number in the second request.

Check-out and the second check-in

A move on the same day needs the first hotel’s check-out hour and the second hotel’s check-in hour to line up. If you reach the second hotel before check-in, ask whether you can leave bags at the desk. Write the time you want to leave in the second request, so the reply can confirm a car at that hour.

If someone else made the booking

When the person writing the request is not the person travelling, put the traveller’s name and phone number in the notes of each request. The driver calls the traveller, not the person who wrote the message.

Checklist for each ride

• The pickup name and area
• The destination name and area
• The date, the time and the number of passengers and bags
• A phone number the driver can call
• The reply that confirmed the car, saved on your phone
